In the eighth episode of NEIUideas, Adam Messinger, Associate Professor of Justice Studies and of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, speaks with Maria Gonzalez, NEIU undergraduate student in Sociology, and Chrissy Cogswell, NEIU El Centro Librarian, about transgender intimate partner violence (IPV). Their conversation centered on issues discussed in the book Transgender Intimate Partner Violence (NYU Press, 2020) which Adam Messinger edited in collaboration with Dr. Xavier L. Guadalupe-Diaz.
