Body and social Position effects on our thought and decision

Farzad Kosarnezhad, Northeastern Illinois University

Abstract

This paper is about how your social position and your body influence your decisions and thoughts. I use a comparative approach to examine this theme within ancient Greek literature (specifically, Oedipus Rex and Agamemnon) and the Bible (Job and Jesus). I argue about how their social positions and their bodies shape their thoughts and decisions. I have aimed to humanize mythology regarding real existential and physical situations to demonstrate possibilities.
