Abstract
"As a first-generation college student, my journey through school has been filled with challenges, growth, and the constant support of my parents, family, and friends. Wherever Life Takes Me, I Carry You is a book that reflects on my experiences in school, my personal development, and how I discovered my artistic style. This project is not only a way to tell my story, but also a tribute to the people who have encouraged me to keep pushing forward, even when things felt difficult. In this book, I share key moments from my academic and creative journey through a combination of personal stories, visuals, and design. My creative process involved selecting meaningful memories, experimenting with different artistic styles, and using mixed media to bring my story to life. Every detail in the book is intentional, from the layout to the color choices, reflecting both my identity and my growth as a designer. During my presentation, the audience will gain insight into the experiences of a first-gen student, the impact of community and family support, and how art can be a powerful tool for self-expression. This project serves as a reminder that no matter where life takes me, the love, lessons, and encouragement from my loved ones will always be with me. "
