Abstract
Despite the rise in usage of artificial intelligence (AI), its reception remains polarizing. In academia, AI remains very much frowned upon by many professors. However, there has been an increase in professors who have been starting to reconsider how AI can be used and possibly apply it in classes. This presentation will delve into how I, as a student, have used AI for the stimulation of writing as well as providing useful feedback. These concepts of ethical AI usage in academic writing were introduced in a course titled English Studies and Technology. Ultimately, this presentation will shine a light on how students can ethically use AI as a valuable resource at any and all stages of academic writing.
