Abstract

In both local and global scenarios, religion continues to feature both as something that either integrates or disintegrates relationships, communities, and nations. While it is linked to numerous intractable conflicts, it is also used for positive peace building. Based on Eric’s Brahm’s article “Religion and Conflict”, this presentation focuses on some of the problems that arise from religion, which often lead to social conflict, and concludes with some steps that may lead to conflict transformation.
