Abstract
The presentation will discuss the current patterns in career development in the late adolescent stage as pertaining to the employment, unemployment, career choice, cultural aspects, gender differences and use of social media. The presentation will include an overview and characteristics of late adolescence. Included will be the biology, social emotional and cognitive development. Traditional transition from college to work will be discussed including multicultural aspects pertaining to career search. The use of social media by both employers and employees in shaping the professional choices made will be presented. The presentation will include career development strategies and interventions that can be used in the period post college and employment.
