Abstract
As a creative person living with neurodivergence, the challenge is to function in the world as everyone around you does, or at least try to give the illusion you are operating at the same level as everyone else. It is this awkward shame that I have carried throughout the years which has led to a plethora of coping mechanisms I have adapted to appear and protect myself from looking different. Having ADHD is a superpower and a detriment simultaneously. This body of work represents a new, very personal and unnatural direction for me. Instead of hiding behind my love to celebrate the human form in all of its diversities and complexities, I am stepping outside of my own comfort to create a body of work that celebrates myself in this same way.
