Abstract
The development of AI-enhanced search engines has transformed the way we search for information, with significant implications for information systems research and practice. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of AI-enhanced search engines, with a particular focus on ChatGPT as an information system. We begin by introducing the importance of AI search and its potential to revolutionize information retrieval. Next, we provide a historical overview of search engines, highlighting the evolution of information systems over time. We then explore ChatGPT as an information system, analyzing its features and capabilities in delivering relevant search results. We also investigate strategic planning and analysis in the development and implementation of AI-enhanced search engines, emphasizing the importance of data quality and algorithm accuracy. Our research highlights GPT as a disruptive innovation, with the potential to transform the way we search for information. We argue that AI-enhanced search engines will make an impact by delivering more personalized and contextualized search results, improving the user experience, and enabling new possibilities for knowledge discovery. Additionally, AI search has the potential to transform industries such as healthcare, finance, and education by enabling more efficient and accurate information retrieval. In conclusion, this paper contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the role of information systems in the development and evaluation of AI-enhanced search engines. Our research highlights the potential of AI search to make a significant impact on information retrieval and various industries, and emphasizes the need to address ethical considerations and biases associated with this technology. Overall, this paper underscores the importance of continued research and innovation in the field of AI-enhanced search engines, and the role of information systems in facilitating these advancements.
