Abstract

My work focuses on storytelling through fantasy and horror by creating a comic that mixes cute and unsettling imagery. The story follows characters facing a monster that looks playful but is actually dangerous. I am interested in how something can feel both familiar and disturbing at the same time. I also draw inspiration from lesser-known video game characters and reimagine them in my own world. Through this project, I explore themes of conflict, survival, and transformation. I present this project as a comic made from hand drawn pages that are scanned and digitally colored. I begin by sketching each page, focusing on movement and how the scenes connect, then add digital color to build mood and atmosphere. I will show both the finished pages and my sketchbook so viewers can see how the work develops. Overall, I want to create something engaging while showing how characters and ideas can be reimagined into something new.
