Abstract
This paper attempts to examine the challenges of public administration in the United Republic of Tanzania. Specifically, I address the question, what factors explain the challenges of legislature, executive and Judiciary in public administration Tanzania. These factors are important pillars that work hand in hand in public administration. The Legislature makes the laws which guide the overall functioning of the society. The executive which includes the Presidency provides guidelines and procedures of implementation of the law. The Judiciary's main function is to interpret the law and apply them in case to ensure equal justice under the law. These three pillars work in tandem to facilitate smooth running of a civil society. To answer this question, I reviewed some key library sources about the topic and held informative discussion on the Topic. Thirdly, I tapped into my personal experiences in Tanzania where I was born, raised, and attended my schooling from primary to bachelor's degree level. The findings highlight centralization as the main factor that affects all other variables including bureaucracy, autonomy, and one hegemony party. These findings elaborate on the notion of submerged state policies which tend to bypass the practical needs of the people. The paper starts off by discussing the background of Tanzania Public Administration before and after independence. Prior to 1961 when Tanzania got its independence the country was governed by British rule. Finally, the paper highlights submerged state policies.
