The Interim was the student newspaper for the Chicago Teachers College (1938-1965) and Northeastern Illinois State College (1966-1971), names of NEIU before Northeastern Illinois University became the official name in 1971. The University Archives has issues from 1961-1967, though the collection is incomplete. The Interim ceased publication in 1967 and Print became the student newspaper in 1968.
