Abstract
For my project, I will be reading three pieces of creative prose poetry, and will discuss some of the creative choices made. Each piece is based around themes of memory, emotion, and trauma. One of the key images connecting my work is webs; the idea that within, and outside of ourselves, everything is connected like the strands of a spider’s web. In my work, I attempt to capture pieces of my life with the goal of connecting fragmented memories, and weaving them into something more whole.
